Green and Blue @ The Boathouse

Seeing that the weather here in New England has most recently turned to blistery cold, I thought it would be nice to imagine a nice spring or summer wedding at The Boathouse. The blank palette of the boathouse’s gorgeous architectural wood beams provide the perfect backdrop to this green and blue theme.

What to wear….

For the bride a Cotton Cady Alexa gown by JCrew. This is so simple yet elegant. Add some fun green shoes from Nine West to make the bridesmaid dresses pop and you are good to go.

Fab-4-less steal for the bridesmaids. The Cotton Cady Sydney dress. It’s on sale for$69.99 from a reg $225. As a gift, get this Navy Blue Clutch from etsy for your bridesmaids. It is a nice navy accent for the wedding and after.

And for the gentleman a nice navy blue jacket from JCrew paired with some nice stone colored chinos. It is a more casual look, but you can dress it up with the matching Navy pants if you would like.

And how do we pull it all together with the floral and decor? Here are some ideas. Simple hydrangea bouquet. Tie a bunch with a navy blue bow. You will soon learn my obsession with hydrangeas.

This simple centerpiece idea from theknot. I would use navy blue napkins instead of white.

Some decor in green. Crisp comes to mind when I see this ensemble. You could use the same light blue hydrangeas as the bridesmaids flowers. You could use apples or pears.

What other form of simplicity could you think of to give to your guests than a tea pyramid by Tea Forte.

Guests find their table assignments in these cute Topiary holders.

Put it all together…not too shabby.

I would be a princess in a Vera Wand gown and the crowd would go silent as I walked into the room. They would cry at my beauty!
